Monday, Oct. 1: The Saluda Historic Depot has announced that the Kenmure Country Club will be the host golf course for the third annual Saluda Historic Depot Golf Tournament.  After two successful golf tournaments yielding a substantial profit for the 501(c)3 non-profit, the Saluda Historic Depot has made this the major fundraiser for the year. The Depot board members changed a previous planned fundraiser for the Depot in July to go toward flood and mudslide victims of Polk County, so the board members are hoping to offset those funds raised with a large attendance and sponsorships in this annual tournament. Deadline for sponsorships is Sept. 11 and for golf registration, the deadline is Sept. 17. Registration is done by visiting SaludaHistoricDepot.com and clicking under Events. Players can download the entry application and print the form and send to savesaludadepot@gmail.com or fax to 828-749-3490.
