Duke’s season-opening football game against Army has been moved up one day to Aug. 31 — a Friday night.

The teams will meet at 7 p.m. at Wallace Wade Stadium on the Duke campus. It will be televised on ESPNU.

The Atlantic Coast Conference also announced several game times for opening weeks of the season Friday.

North Carolina State begins the season at noon Sept. 1 against visiting James Madison. N.C. State’s Sept. 8 home game against Georgia State is set for 12:30 p.m., while the Wolfpack’s Sept. 15 home game against West Virginia will begin at 3:30 p.m.

Wake Forest’s second game of the season is a noon kickoff Sept. 8 at home against Towson.

North Carolina’s Sept. 15 home game against Central Florida, which went unbeaten last year, is set for noon.
