Several years ago, the ACC Barnstorming Tour stopped by The Epiphany School in New Bern.

This year, on Apr. 24, the tour is coming back to New Bern, this time at New Bern High School.

Pet Sumner, who took over running the tour from his father, Mike, announced it Tuesday at the New Bern Boys & Girls Club.

"We're thrilled to be coming back to New Bern this year," Sumner said.

"It's the only stop this year for us east of Raleigh. We're expecting a sell out."

The Barnstorming Tour is an annual event where seniors from around the ACC come to different high schools across the state.

This year's tour will feature Duke's Grayson Allen, North Carolina's Joel Berry and Theo Pinson and N.C. State's Allerik Freeman, Abdul Malik Abu and Lennard Freeman.

"We think it's one of the best lineups that we've seen on the tour," Sumner said.

UNC legend Phil Ford, along with Duke legend Nolan Smith will coach the ACC players while Michael Norwood (former UNC player and New Bern resident) will coach the high school players.

The game will start at 7:30 p.m. and doors open at 6.

Tickets are $13.50 presale, $17 at the door and there are limited VIP packages available for $50.

Tickets are sold at New Bern High School, H.J. MacDonald Middle School, Grover C. Fields Middle School, New Bern Sporting Goods and at the New Bern Boys & Girls Club.
