Many of the spoils of victory from the Southwestern 2A Conference football season came to South Point and Shelby.
The Red Raiders, the league champions, earned three of the five top individual honors and put 14 players on the all-conference team. Shelby, which advanced to the state semifinals, saw senior linebacker Dax Hollifield named Defensive Player of the Year and landed 12 berths on the all-league team.
South Point running back Jake Alexander was named Offensive Player of the Year, David O’Hanlon was chosen Kicker of the Year and Adam Hodge of the Red Raiders earned Coach of the Year Honors.
R-S Central’s Jayden Waddell won the Athlete award.
