ROBBINS — Maggie Purvis Mashburn, 79, of 1878 Wilson Road, Robbins, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, at Peak Resources-Pinelake in Carthage.


Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017, at Fall Creek Baptist Church, Bennett. Officiating will be the Rev. Edwin Moore and the Rev. Robert Kidd. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.


Maggie was a native of Moore County, a graduate of High Falls High School, a homemaker and a member of Fall Creek Baptist Church. She spent her life serving others and enjoyed cooking, traveling and spending time with her family.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Graham and Lillie Kidd Purvis; son, Kinney Lee Hussey; and brother, Bud Purvis.


Survivors include her husband, David C. Mashburn of the home; brothers, Jack W. Purvis and wife Raye of Shallotte, Tom Purvis and wife Doris of High Falls; daughter-in-law, Barbara Hussey; grandchildren, Jenna Moody and husband Dwayne of Bear Creek, Katie Davis and husband Chris of Bennett, Ethan Hussey and wife Jessica of Beaufort, S.C.; great-grandchildren, Ty Moody, Jackson and Cole Hussey, Paisley and Kinlee Davis; several nieces and nephews.


Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18, 2017, at Loflin Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ramseur; and other times at the residence.
