ARCHDALE — A wreck in Archdale resulted in the death of one person Saturday afternoon.
The Archdale Police Department, Randolph County EMS, the N.C. State Highway Patrol and Guil-Rand Fire Department responded to a crash involving two vehicles on Surrett Drive near Murray Circle at 12:16 p.m.
The driver of one of the vehicles was pronounced deceased on scene by paramedics and the two passengers in that vehicle were transported to High Point Regional Hospital by EMS, the APD said in a press release. The driver of the second vehicle was also transported to High Point Regional Hospital by EMS.
All three had non-life-threatening injuries, according to an EMS supervisor.
Officers with the High Point Police Department accident reconstruction team were contacted to assist with the investigation, which is currently ongoing. There is no evidence of impairment on either driver at this time.
The name of the deceased was not released pending notification of next of kin.
