2. Community Science Night: Fayetteville State University is hosting a Community Science Night on Friday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Seabrook Auditorium. The event is free to children of all ages. There will be an hour of on-stage demonstrations, including “Musical Tesla Coils”, a hovercraft and others. Children from the audience will be selected to assist with many of the demonstrations. 3. Historic Tours: The Cool Spring Downtown District will have Carriage Tours of Olde Fayetteville today from 1 to 6 p.m. The tour includes historic sites from Fayetteville’s 250-year history. The 45-minute tours are conducted by horse-drawn carriage. Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 with military ID and $15 for children under 12. For reservations, call 910-678-8899.

4. Chinese Culture & Arts Performance: “Chinese Culture & Arts” is scheduled for Monday at 7 p.m. at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center in Sanford. An arts troupe from South-Central University for Nationalities will perform dance, vocal, instrumental and martial arts presentations. Admission is free.
