An Alamance County deputy caught a break-in suspect red-handed early Friday, Sept. 14, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputy D. Nash was checking businesses in Green Level about 2:20 a.m. and saw the glass broken out of the front door at La Rancherita, 1609 N.C. 49 N. He also saw someone inside the business.

Nash kept the individual contained until other deputies arrived. A perimeter was established, and deputies persuaded the subject to come out, the Sheriff’s Office said. He was arrested without incident.

Juan Carlos Gonzales Ramos, 16, of 1160 Wyatt Road, Lot D2. Green Level, is charged with felony breaking and entering a business, felony larceny, attempted larceny and damage to real property. He is being held in lieu of $25,000.
