Fayetteville will be one of five stops in the WRAL-TV viewing area for morning anchorman Bill Leslie’s farewell tour.
Leslie will be at the Arts Council on June 21 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. to meet with the public.
The 67-year-old anchorman is retiring at the end of the month. His farewell tour kicks off Monday.
During the meet-and-greet, members of the public will be able to record messages to Leslie that will be aired during newscasts the week of June 25, his final week on the air, the Arts Council said in a release.
“Bring a brown bag lunch and sit back and relax with anchorman Bill Leslie, who is a seasoned artist in his own right,” said Deborah Martin Mintz, executive director of the Arts Council. “We hear that Bill also will be singing and playing guitar.”
The Arts Council is at 301 Hay St.
