1. Enormous Egg Hunt: The 11th annual Enormous Egg Hunt is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at Gray's Creek Recreation Center, 2964 School Road, Hope Mills. There will be eggs filled with goodies hidden around the center. Children will need to bring their own basket. Registration is required by today. Egg hunt times are as follows: ages 3-5 years, 11 a.m.; 6-8 years, noon; 9-12 years, 1 p.m. The event is free. For more information, call 433-1015.

2. Lucky Dog 3k: The Fayetteville Running Club has organized the Lucky Dog 3k on Saturday to support the Friends of Cumberland County shelter animals. They'll bring the dogs. You bring your shoes and a bag of dog food (or $10 per person). The event will be at Clark Park, 631 Sherman Drive, at 11 a.m.

3. Womack Lectures: Brian Britt, a professor in the Department of Religion and Culture at Virginia Tech, is the featured speaker for the Womack Lectures at Methodist University on March 21. The lectures, which are free and open to the public, will be in Yarborough Auditorium in Clark Hall. The first presentation, titled “New Tablets for a New World: The Book of Exodus in Chagall’s Moses,” is at 11 a.m. The second lecture, titled “New Tablets for a New World: The Jewish Modernism of Chagall’s Moses,” is at 7 p.m. The lectures are an effort to further explore the work of artist Marc Chagall. Methodist is showcasing “The Story of the Exodus,” a collection of lithographs that depict the Jewish departure from Egypt detailed in the book of Exodus, through April 6.
