This Sunday, Dr. Scott Donaldson will host a "Healthcare Open House" at his campaign headquarters in Hendersonville.

The event will take place from 2-6 p.m. and will involve a screening of the new documentary, “Fix it: Healthcare at the Tipping Point,” which takes an in-depth look at some of the issues that plague the United States health care system.

This short documentary will be screened multiple times to accommodate viewers dropping in at different points and will be followed by a discussion on health care in Western North Carolina as well as nationally.

The event is free and open to the public. The headquarters for Dr. Scott Donaldson for Congress is located at 1216 Sixth Ave. W., Suite 500, Hendersonville.

Donaldson is seeking the Democratic nomination to face incumbent Mark Meadows in the U.S. House of Representatives 11th Congressional District race.

Donaldson has been a urological surgeon in Henderson County for 16 years. He is presently chief of staff at Pardee Hospital and serves on the Pardee Board of Directors. He is a board member of Western Carolina Medical Society and First Contact Ministries.

Donaldson authored the book "Urological Surgery and Light Haulin" and local radio show “Just Sayin,” which is syndicated nationally and locally on WTZQ AM1600 and FM 93.5.
