A second Thomasville man has been charged with the statutory rape and sexual exploitation of a minor after being videotaped while engaged in sexual acts with a 15-year-old.

Tyler Ja’von Hughes, 23, of 308 Winston St., Thomasville, was charged with two counts of felony statutory rape/sexual offense with a defendant less than four years younger and felony first degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

According to information provided by the Thomasville Police Department, Hughes was charged with having intercourse with a 15-year-old female and was videotaped in another sexual act with the minor.

Hughes was also identified in a previous arrest warrant for Shaquille Na’Jek Abrams, 24, of 100 Duncan Drive, who was charged with six counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, eight counts of first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, statutory rape and crime against nature.

According to the arrest report, Abrams is accused of engaging in sexual activity consisting of pornographic images and videos with minors ranging from 1 to 3 years old to 15 years old. The alleged incidents occurred in April and May 2015, according to the report.

Hughes was identified in the arrest report for Abrams as being photographed while engaging in sexual activity with the 15-year-old at the same time Abrams was photographed engaging in a sexual act with another male.

Hughes was given a $500,000 bond and a court date of March 7.
