Notes: Wofford and Furman are tied for third place in the Southern Conference, one game ahead of Western Carolina and three games behind UNC Greensboro with five games left in the regular season. UNCG is one game behind East Tennessee State (13-1) in the loss column after beating ETSU last week. Furman plays at home Thursday night against Chattanooga. …The Terriers are coming off a 76-52 loss Saturday at Furman and have lost three of four since beating Western Carolina, 77-68, Jan. 29 in Richardson Indoor Stadium. …In that game against WCU, the Terriers had four players with at least 14 points, led by Magee with 18. He was just 4-for-14 on 3-pointers, however, and the team shot just 29 percent from long range. …Wofford still leads the Southern Conference in 3-point shooting at 41.7 percent. Magee has dropped to third at 44.1 percent and Stumpe continues to lead at 46.5 percent. …Magee has had a couple of tough ones from 3-point range since the last WCU game, going 2-for-11 at Mercer and 1-for-5 at Furman. …Western Carolina won three in a row after the loss to Wofford. The Catamounts beat Chattanooga, Samford and VMI before falling Saturday at UNCG, 65-48. …Western Carolina is 5-1 in conference games at home, the only loss to UNCG. The Catamounts are yet to play ETSU in the Ramsey Center but will have that one Saturday afternoon. …WCU is allowing only 63 points per game at home compared to 81 points per game on the road. …Western Carolina head coach Larry Hunter, in his 28th season, has 701 career victories. He is one of only 40 coaches all-time at all levels of NCAA basketball to reach 700.
