Wine classes resume on Feb. 22

Wine Sage and Gourmet, 416 N. Main St., Hendersonville, will continue its wine classes on Feb. 22 at 6:30 p.m. with “Somm How and Somm What.”

Guest instructor Drew Summers of Advintage Distributors, will take the class through the Sommelier's Rubric for identifying and evaluating wines. Summers is a Level 2 Certified Sommelier and began his career in the wine industry working at Northhampton Wines in Greer, S.C., while he was a student at Furman University.

Cost is $25 per class and space is limited.

Babka class at Blue Ridge Bakery

Blue Ridge Bakery, 86 W. Main St., Brevard, will host "Lindsey's Babka Class" on Monday from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Pastry chef Lindsey Briscoe will discuss the Jewish delicacy Babka. The group will make a basic recipe first, then Briscoe will show how to fill them with different fillings-like cinnamon chocolate or apricot cream cheese. Cost is $40.
