The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office has arrested and charged a man they say is responsible for a string of robberies in and around the city over the past three months.
Joshua Lewis Anderson, 29, of 106 Melody Forest Lane, Spartanburg, has been charged with 18 counts of second-degree burglary and two counts of malicious injury to personal property.
The Sheriff's Office received a tip Thursday identifying Anderson as the suspect, agency spokesman Lt. Kevin Bobo said in an email.
A search warrant was served at Anderson’s home, where investigators said they retrieved evidence from several burglaries, Bobo stated.
Investigators found clothing they believe was worn by Anderson during the crimes.
A cash register drawer and other items reported stolen were also retrieved, Bobo stated.
