A Polk County homeowner is offering a $5,000 reward in a breaking and entering case, hoping to find the thief who took off with a safe containing money, gold, jewelry, guns and more.  

The breaking and entering occurred between the night of Oct. 26 and the early morning hours of Oct. 27 at the home at 6700 Big Level Road in the Sunny View area. 

Suspects are believed to have entered the house through the back door, damaging the house as they entered, the Polk County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.

Multiple suspects are believed to be involved due to the damage of the house, as a large safe was taken, the release states. 

The breaking and entering and larceny are believed to have taken place during the early morning hours. A large Cannon Safe was taken that contained cash, long guns, handguns, Liberty silver dollars, gold pieces and jewelry.

The $5,000 reward is being offered by the homeowner to anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individuals involved.
