A Thomasville man previously charged in the armed robberies of four restaurants in High Point and Thomasville has received additional charges in connection with the robbery of a restaurant in Wallburg.

Jason Dewan Williams, 41, of 313 Carter Drive, Thomasville, was charged with felony robbery with a dangerous weapon and five counts of second degree trespassing.

According information provided by the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, on Sunday deputies responded to the China One restaurant located at 10479 North N.C. Highway 109, Winston-Salem, in reference to an armed robbery that had just occurred.

According to witnesses, a man entered the business with a handgun while it was occupied by three employees and two customers and demanded money. The man fled after the robbery, and no injuries were reported.

William has been previously charged with two counts of armed robbery in High Point and two in Thomasville.

Thomasville Police reported an armed robbery of the China City located at 1447 National Highway on Sunday and another armed robbery at the China Wok located on West Cooksey Drive on Oct. 6.

On Tuesday, High Point Police reported an armed robbery of a Domino’s Pizza, and 30 minutes later, officers responded to another armed robbery at an ABC store in High Point with similar descriptions of a suspect.

After the robbery at the ABC Store, Thomasville police confronted and detained Williams as he exited a sweepstakes business at 375 Scenic Way in Thomasville. Officials said they found several pieces of evidence, including weapons displayed in the robberies and suspected stolen currency.

In a joint investigation involving the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, Thomasville Police Department and High Point Police Department, investigators identified Williams as the suspect in the five armed robberies.

Williams is currently being held under a $350,000 secured bond in the High Point city jail. He was given a $1 million bond for charges in Davidson County and has a court date of Nov. 6.
