A man is expected to be OK after his stabbing at a Gastonia hotel Monday.

Police were called to the Gaston Inn on 1400 E. Franklin Blvd. just after 4 a.m. Moments earlier, Mark Alan Short was reportedly stabbed by three people who then left the scene.

Short, 54, of Morganton, was transported to CaroMont Regional Medical Center with multiple stab wounds, none of them believed to be life-threatening. 

Short wasn't cooperative with law enforcement or medical personnel, according to Gastonia Police Sgt. Nancy Capistran. No arrests have been made in the case.
