Satterfield, co-owner and executive chef of Miller Union in Atlanta, was named "Best Chef, Southeast," by the James Beard Foundation.
PinPoint Restaurant, 114 Market St. in Wilmington, will host James Beard Award-winning Chef Steven Satterfield on Sunday, March 25.
Beginning at 5 p.m., Satterfield will do a meet and greet and sign books. There will also be a special dinner serving recipes from Satterfield's "Root to Leaf, A Southern Chef Cooks Through the Seasons" cookbook.
Menu items include an oyster stew with sunchokes and celery, farm egg baked in celery cream, sauteed rainbow chard with stems, braised oxtails with preserved Red Beard shiitakes, and rhubarb hand pies for dessert.
Tickets for the event cost $95 and can be purchased online at www.pinpoint.com/tickets. Ticket price includes dinner, wine, tax and gratuity; tickets are non-refundable. Copes of "Root to Leaf" will be available for purchase at the event by Pomegranate Books. Frederick Corriher Wines will pair wines and offer bottles for purchase at the event.
