SCHOOL EVENTS

Gaston County Schools has canceled all afterschool activities on Friday, and all school-related activities scheduled for Saturday and Sunday. The YMCA and ASPIRE afterschool programs will continue as scheduled on Friday.

 

COMMUNITY EVENTS

AnthemFest postponed. Will be rescheduled for a later date.

Belmont High School Class of 1955 rescheduled: Will now be held Saturday, Oct. 13.

Criss Cross Mangosauce rescheduled: Will now be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6.

Friends of Crowders of Mountain State Park meeting canceled. Set for Tuesday, Sept. 18, a new meeting date will be announced. All state parks are closed.

Mount Holly Farmers Market canceled. Market will resume next week.

Off the Streets annual luncheon: Will be held at later date in October.

Southern Arts Society exhibit reception rescheduled: “Hidden Places” exhibit reception will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, 301 N. Piedmont Ave., Kings Mountain.

Gaston Pride Festival has been canceled. Future events will be announced when details are determined.

Run For The Veterans 5K in Cramerton postponed. Will now be held Saturday, Oct. 27.

The BackPack Weekend Food Program’s fundraiser, Dining at the Chef’s Table, has been postponed. A rescheduled date will be announced.

 

CHURCH EVENTS

Ranlo Baptist Church Men's Breakfast canceled: Next breakfast will be held in October.

Trinity Methodist Community breakfast canceled: The morning breakfast at the church, 1513 Florida Ave., Gastonia, has been canceled because of the weather.
